March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month
Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC) in collaboration with the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), dedicates March as Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM). 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of Problem Gambling Awareness Month.Problem gambling is defined as all gambling behavior patterns that compromise, disrupt or damage personal, family or vocational pursuits.

Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) opened a new office location at the
beginning of the new year, resulting in 18 office locations offering mental health counseling
services in the state.
Mackenzie Ford, an LSI therapist, is the first staff member to provide mental health
counseling out of the new location and is actively accepting new clients in the area.
